John Tippins is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Northcap. He began his real estate career in 2000 as a commercial agent for Insight Holdings, where he quickly achieved success, closing roughly $200 million in transactions. Following a brief period as President of Mark L. Fine and Associates, a commercial real estate company, John branched out and started his own company, Northcap, in 2006. Between 2000 and 2016 John closed on a total of more than $1.5 billion in transactions as either a broker or principal, and in 2009 he was named “Top 40 Under 40″ by In Business Las Vegas. In 2014 John was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Commercial Marketing Group.
When the commercial sales market disappeared following the credit crisis in August 2008, John had the foresight to expand his business operations into property management and residential condominium sales. Starting in 2009, Northcap entered those lines of business, and since then the company has amassed a list of top-caliber, institutional clients.
John currently serves on the boards of the UNLV College of Business, the Downtown Las Vegas Alliance, 9th Bridge School, One Drop Committee, and the Fremont Street East Entertainment District, in addition to being a member of the UNLV President’s Inner Circle, the UNLV Advisory Board, and the steering committee for housing for the City of Las Vegas. He is also an adjunct professor at UNLV.
In addition to real estate, John enjoys entrepreneurship in general and is a passive investor in numerous ventures outside of Northcap, including local restaurants and clubs, such as LobsterMe, I Love Burgers, PBR Rock Bar And Grill, Daily Kitchen, Jamba Juice, F. Erik Sorensen is the Chief Operating Officer and is a principal of Northcap. Erik brings a breadth of knowledge and experience in multifamily and single family residential real estate from operations to investments. At Northcap, Erik has overseen the more than eight-fold growth in the company since 2009, putting in place the teams and systems necessary for operating a real estate company at a first-class level.
Prior to Northcap, Erik was Vice President of Artisan Real Estate Ventures, a New York and Las Vegas based real estate company, where he oversaw the multifamily investment platform. At Artisan he directly oversaw the acquisitions of approximately 2,000 multifamily units.
Before Artisan, Erik was a part of the acquisitions team at The Praedium Group, a real estate private equity firm based in New York City. While at The Praedium Group, Erik was responsible for analysis, due diligence, and transaction execution functions for the acquisition of new assets, including over $600 million in multifamily, industrial, office, and retail properties.
Erik received a B.A. in Economics (with distinction) from Yale University. He is also an Eagle Scout.

From Tucson, he went west again to Fabulous Las Vegas in 2001. Derek has been involved in real estate for nearly 20 years from brokering to purchasing, selling and investing in his own personal investments of nearly 1MM+ square feet of space. His real estate career, investment specialization and market area focus result in relationships with private and institutional clients. Derek also uses exercise and setting boundaries for personal time to create a balance including setting appointments with himself for these activities. Diane Moore moved to Las Vegas in 2010 from Sedona, AZ. She has been a Realtor in Arizona since 2000 and was co-owner of a real estate brokerage firm from 2000-2010. Diane has represented clients over the years with their residential, land and investments. During the same time, Diane bought and sold parcels of land and developed subdivisions. Diane has a diverse background which gives her the ability to be versatile and personable. Joseph E. Dagher
Joseph Dagher has been a part of 60+ real estate investment transactions alongside several partnering real estate firms, totaling over $6.5 million. In 2014, he was a recipient of the GLVAR Las Vegas Top 40 Under 40 real estate award. In addition to his real estate career, Joseph is currently a full time student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he is planning to pursue and enter the legal profession.
With an eye for detail and a devotion to success, Joseph’s ability to draw upon his own experience as a businessman has prompted him to attain several leadership positions throughout the Las Vegas community. Joseph is the Public Relations Administrator for the UNLV Student Government. Moreover, he was the treasurer and former Vice-President of Phi Alpha Delta, UNLV Law Fraternity, a legal intern at the Nevada Attorney General’s office, and a legal intern at Avramski Law, P.C.

Lorenzo (Larry) Morales
Michael oversees sales for Northcap Nevada as SVP of Residential Services. A native of Austin, Texas, Michael has worked and travelled all over the world. He loves studying how people live and how their homes fit their lifestyles. Finding the perfect home to fit a client’s lifestyle is a personal passion for Michael, and something he takes great pride in.
Prior to joining Northcap, Michael parlayed his 25-year experience in the hospitality industry into a successful real estate career, having managed Wolfgang Puck’s Chinois in Las Vegas and Spago in Las Vegas and Maui, among several other prominent, high-end restaurants. Even though he now works in real estate full-time, Michael remains a dedicated foodie and continues to cook and enjoy the epicurean life – he even has his sommelier’s pin.
Michael’s sociability, independent spirit, and incredible customer service set him apart as a top agent in the Las Vegas real estate market. He works with a range of clients – national and international, as well as investors and local residents. Nicole Tomlinson began her real estate career in 2004 at American Invsco, a large condominium developer, where she worked in their West Coast acquisition division. After successfully acquiring large apartment developments she then joined Scripps Resources International, Inc., a boutique real estate firm in Las Vegas. While at Scripps Resources International, Inc., between 2006 and 2008, Nicole closed over $600 million in real estate transactions. During the commercial downturn in the Las Vegas real estate market she created Home Realty Center, a DBA to Scripps Resources International, Inc. Home Realty Center provided services primarily for the residential market, including dispositions for Fannie Mae, short sales, traditional sales, and property management. Over the last eighteen months Home Realty Center closed over 400 transactions.
In June 2012, Nicole joined Northcap as the President of the company. She is a native to Nevada and graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas with a B.A. in Marketing. Les specializes in applying his expertise and market knowledge in the sale and leasing of land, gas stations, bar-taverns, liquor stores, single tenant investments and small to mid-sized retail centers. Les continues as one of the most active brokers in the commercial sector through maintaining strong relationships with owners, lenders, suppliers, operators, investors, and appraisers alike. Glenda Shaw began her real estate career in 1975 in the Las Vegas Valley and has specialized in Commercial Brokerage and Management for the past 27 years.
In 1986, Glenda established her own Commercial Agency, known as Realty Connections and participated in the brokerage, management and development of retail, office and home subdivisions for 12 years before accepting a position with Colliers International as the Broker and VP of Commercial Management in 1998. During this tenure at Colliers, Glenda was instrumental in turning around the department into a profit center and setting up management tools and standards for the commercial management team.
After leaving Colliers, Glenda once again successfully established her own company and spent the next several years managing and leasing prominent retail centers on the Las Vegas Strip. In 2004, Glenda recognized the growth and potential of downtown Las Vegas and moved her company into the heart of the City, where she began the assemblage of properties for the development of the City Hall, Transportation Center, and other future Live Work developments.
Glenda has been involved in all aspects of Commercial Brokerage and is known in the industry as someone who truly cares. She has given back to her community through several charitable organizations, and was President of Commercial Marketing Group in 2007, where she established an annual symposium recognizing “Visionaries” of our valley and received the Weedon award for her dedication.

Nina Crawford has been in the real estate industry for 25+ years. She began her career in Escrow and Title as a Receptionist for Commonwealth Land Title in Scottsdale, Arizona. Moving to Las Vegas in the 90’s, Nina continued in the industry as an Assistant Escrow Officer and worked her way up to Senior Escrow Officer, eventually joining Fidelity National Title. At Fidelity, Nina received numerous achievement awards including the prestigious Platinum President’s Club Award. Nina moved back to Arizona for an 8-year span continuing her career as a Senior Escrow Officer. Realizing Las Vegas was still home, she moved back to Las Vegas in 2012 and rejoined Fidelity National Title closing commercial transactions in numerous states.
While handling commercial escrow and title transactions for Les Eisinga during 2012 and 2013, he was finally able to convince Nina to join him on the brokerage side in July of 2014. Nina’s extensive experience and knowledge in the escrow and title business in a variety of areas, including gas stations, bar-taverns, land, large apartment complexes, condo projects, casinos, and businesses provides added benefit to clients and is a true asset to the team. Kammy is a 1986 graduate of Southern Utah University where she studied theatre and worked for the Utah Shakespeare Festival. She began her real estate career in 1990 on the vendor side, which led to her joining The Equity Group in 1992. After working her way up to managing the accounting department, Kammy left in 1998 to help start The Management Team, where she stayed until 2013 when she joined Virtus Commercial. At The Management Team, Kammy supervised a staff of four with over 2 million square feet under management. Joining Virtus Commercial was an opportunity to return to hands-on management and accounting. This experience has led her to Northcap Commercial, where she can use her vast knowledge of management in the Las Vegas Valley to grow a new commercial division from the ground up.

Ian, a Las Vegas native, who grew up with real estate and construction all around him. He has held a close relationship with his grandfather, an avid real estate developer and broker to being by his father’s side in the construction world. Ian began his career in the construction industry in 2004, working on projects as small as light construction to projects as large as high-rise resort projects being built from the ground up. He found the perfect blend of the two industries when joining his wife, Tricia, at Virtus Commercial. Ian’s knowledge of these two industries has brought Northcap Commercial to a new level of property management services they are able to provide.

Tricia, originally from Syracuse, NY, moved to Las Vegas in 2004 and began her career here as an Office Manager and Loan Officer for a local Mortgage Broker. She stepped out in 2006, where she began her commercial real estate career working for Sperry Van Ness. She rapidly advanced her position with Sperry Van Ness going from an Administrative Assistant to obtaining her Real Estate License and taking on her own portfolio. Tricia quickly learned the service she was eager to provide her clients with was not in the capacity of the corporate environment. In 2008, she was provided with the opportunity to be the first to join Virtus Commercial and be an integral part of developing the commercial management division. Here she flourished and managed a combination of retail, office and industrial totaling over a million square feet. As Regional Manager, Mr. Bauman brings 30 years of Multi-Family acquisition, disposition, development and management experience to Northcap Commercial, LLC. In his capacity, Mr. Bauman is responsible for the implementation, integration and supervision of leasing operations, HOA and construction management for over 1,200 condominium homes previously leased and converted to sales, which are divided over five communities located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Prior to coming to Northcap Commercial, Mr. Bauman held various positions in the field of real estate management, acquisition and disposition such as most recently, President of TM Realty Services, LLC out of Miami, FL.; a firm focused on the conversion and reversion of as many as 30 apartment communities in Nevada, Arizona and Florida to for-sale condominiums, back to rental condominiums and then again back into for-sale. In this role he also presided over as many as 7 Homeowner Association boards. Prior to this Mr. Bauman served as Regional Manager for PK Nevada Real Estate Investment Group where he oversaw the management of 2,100+ units employing approximately 30 staff members in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada as well as San Francisco, California. As Vice President of The Bentley Group Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Bauman acted as the broker’s representative on numerous multi-family asset sales totaling approximately $300,000,000. Prior to the Bentley Group, Mr. Bauman served as Vice President of Operations for TMC Real Estate Management, a full service third party property management firm overseeing approximately 4,200 units and 125 staff members in Las Vegas, Henderson and Elko, Nevada. As Regional Manager for Legacy Partners, Inc., a spinoff of Lincoln Properties, Mr. Bauman was involved in the management and disposition of two communities totaling 640 units as well as the management of 5 additional held assets totaling 1,400 units and an employee base of approximately 45 people. Mr. Bauman started his career in Property Management with the Las Vegas based Stout Management Company where he began his experience in the maintenance field and quickly moved in to multi-site management. In these capacities, Mr. Bauman experienced a wide range of real estate management experience from maintenance, single and multi-site supervision, community re-development, community repositioning, new construction, lease-up, budget implementation and control, corporate structuring, policy and procedural implementation and supervision to acquisition and disposition.
Mr. Bauman holds an Arizona Real Estate Broker’s License, Nevada Real Estate License as well as a Nevada Property Management Permit and has been accredited over the years with numerous property management related certifications such as the ARM accreditation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, Housing Tax Credit Specialist and Certified Professional of Occupancy from the National Affordable Housing Management Association. He is a founding member and has served as a three time President as well as two time Legislative Committee Chairperson of the Southern Nevada Multi-Housing Association, now known as the Nevada State Apartment Association.
Chris Davies is the Controller for Northcap. He brings over a decade of multifamily property management experience. Prior to Northcap, Chris was the Assistant Controller in the Client Reporting Department of Pinnacle, an American Management Services Company, and one of the largest property management companies in the U.S. During his tenure at Pinnacle, he was primarily focused on properties owned by affiliates of Pinnacle, including Cascade Affordable Housing and Olympic Investors.
Chris holds a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. In his free time, he enjoys playing a role in community theater, going to live performances, and participating in active sports.
Elizabeth (Liz) Newcomer
Liz Newcomer is the Staff Accountant for Northcap and brings with her over 30 years of accounting experience. Prior to joining Northcap in May of 2012, Liz was the Staff Accounting Supervisor for Euclid Management Company, Southern California’s leading Management Company serving over 220 HOA, Single Family, Multi Family, Retail, Commercial and Industrial properties.
Liz enjoys off-roading, watching football and completing various types of puzzles in her free time.

Drew Brunson is growing a new startup under Northcap’s roof called ResiRatings. Drew started with Northcap in 2015 to create a measurable objective rating system that can easily and accurately classify the appeal of multifamily properties across the country. ResiRatings is currently devoted to growing the number of housing options for students across the Las Vegas valley by providing housing resources and easier access to higher education students.
Drew is a graduate of the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.S.B.A in Business Marketing where he frequently appeared on the Dean’s list for superior academic results. Drew is a founding member of the Young Entrepreneurs of Southern Nevada at UNLV as well as a member of the American Marketing Association Las Vegas Chapter. Drew is also heavily involved in the Nevada State Apartment Association and is currently co-chairing the Social Media Committee for the NVSAA.
Drew is currently finishing a graduate degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, finishing his Masters of Business Administration expected to graduate in spring of 2017.
